This is the first volume in a series of books intended to provide a guide to the best fish, by geographic region, available to the marine aquarium hobbyist.
The series is designed to be an account of marine fishes from the World’s primary collection locales with pertinent notes on their appropriateness for the aquarium along with comments on their husbandry and behaviour.
This first volume covers the fish of the Tropical West Atlantic from the Bahamas to Brazil, Hawaii, the lower Gulf of Mexico’s Baja and the Red Sea.
Also included is a rating of species by historical survivability, geographic distribution, species to avoid, and others to consider, together with notes on selection, care, ultimate size and maintenance.
